Why green tea?

Simple tea, made well.

Green tea is one of the oldest everyday rituals in the world. We think it deserves to be fresh, honest and easy to enjoy.

How The Delicious Plant started

The Delicious Plant started with a simple belief: great green tea shouldn't be complicated, so we made it simple.

Hi, my name is Quinton the founder of The Delicious Plant green tea. The purpose of this brand is simply because I wanted to introduce the wonderful benefits and overall enjoyment to which green tea can bring to all of you, so to all who are here reading this, thank you.

What we believe

Three promises in every bag

  1. 01

    A small lineup, chosen carefully

We don't chase every trend. We carry a handful of teas we'd happily drink every day, and we add new ones only when they earn a spot.

  2. 02

    Honest about every tea

Each tea tells you its taste, its caffeine level and how many cups a bag really makes, so you know what you're getting before you buy.

  3. 03

    Loose leaf, never dust

Whole leaves unfurl as they steep, giving a fuller, cleaner cup than the broken leaf found in most tea bags.

From garden to cup

Steamed, shaded and bright

Origins · Japan

Steamed, shaded and bright

Japanese green teas are steamed soon after picking, which keeps their vivid colour and fresh, grassy character.

Our Sencha comes from Shizuoka, Japan's best-known tea region. Our Gyokuro is shaded for its final weeks of growth, building a deep, sweet umami flavour.

Pan-fired, hand-rolled and fragrant

Origins · China

Pan-fired, hand-rolled and fragrant

Many Chinese green teas are pan-fired instead of steamed, giving a softer, toasty, sweeter cup.

Dragon Well is pressed flat by hand in a wok. Bi Luo Chun is rolled into tiny spirals from young spring buds. Jasmine Dragon Pearls are layered with fresh jasmine blossoms over several nights.
