Chinese Dragon Well (Long Jing)

Dragon Well, or Long Jing, is one of China's most celebrated green teas, hand-pressed flat in a wok over gentle heat rather than steamed. That pan-firing process trades grassy sharpness for a smooth, toasty character — think roasted chestnut, a touch of natural sweetness, and a soft, mellow finish with very little bitterness.

Dragon Well sits in the middle of our caffeine range: enough for a gentle lift, without the intensity of a shaded or unshaded early-harvest tea.

Like all green teas, it retains a good share of its natural catechin content, and is often enjoyed as an easy, everyday addition to a balanced routine.

How far does it go? As a rough guide, based on about 2.5–3g of leaves per 8oz cup:
